Los Angeles – The City everyone knows

Moving to LA is the dream of many people in the entertainment industry, and seeing the city is just about everyone else’s dream.  Los Angeles is an enormous, diverse city, and it has some of the most notable American pop culture landmarks!  Here are just a few:

The Hollywood Sign

Everyone knows the Hollywood sign!  It is quite possibly the most famous sign in history.  Spanning 45 feet tall, and 350 feet long on the top of Mount Lee, the Hollywood sign is the perfect place to go for an afternoon hike!  While you’re up there, be sure to take some pictures for Instagram!  Make sure you also take in some of the beautiful views of the city!

Rodeo Drive

Rodeo Drive is THE place when it comes to shopping for luxury goods.  Most of us will only do window shopping, as Gucci and Louis Vuitton don’t fit our budget, but if you do plan on shopping on Rodeo Drive, you might want to plan ahead!  The most expensive store in the world, House of Bijan, is on Rodeo Drive, and if you want to shop there, you are going to need to reserve a spot before hand!

Kodak (Dolby) Theater

The Kodak Theater, now known as the Dolby Theater is located right on Hollywood Boulevard.  It has one of the largest stages in the US, and can seat over three thousand people.  It sees countless concerts each year, but that is not what it is best known for!  The Kodak Theater has been the venue of choice for the Oscars, since it was built in late 2001.  If you are in the area, make sure to check it out, and see where some of the greatest actors and actresses have been recognized!

Hollywood Walk of Fame

While you are at the Dolby Theater, you can also check out the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Also located on Hollywood Boulevard, the Walk of Fame is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Los Angeles!  Since 1960, the most influential Hollywood Figures have been recognized through the brass stars that line the walkway.  The Walk of Fame spans fifteen blocks, and you can find the names of everyone from Charlie Chaplin, to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson!

Theme Parks

If you love theme parks, then Los Angeles is the place for you.  Here are just a few theme parks in the LA area:  Disneyland, Universal Studios, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Knott’s Berry Farm, and Pacific Park.  If you are in the area, and love theme parks, then there are more than enough to keep you busy for weeks on end!

Los Angeles is a city that has something for everyone.  Whether you are into theme parks, arts, pop culture history, or taking cool pictures for your Instagram account, you will find something that you love doing in Los Angeles.  If you ever get the chance, you should definitely take a trip out, and live the LA life!
